Stiles would argue that in school is possibly the best place to exercise
his humor, for a variety of reasons. It's all one big joke, he might say,
or if he doesn't laugh he's going to lose his mind. Really, it's just
because he can't not. It's been a defense reflex for so long now, he
doesn't even really have full control of it. But hey, he only has to
survive another nine months without flunking or getting expelled. Or dying.
He can manage that, right?
The industrial park isn't that far away, and Stiles knows where he's going.
He doesn't even glance over at Derek, just watching his rearview mirror.
"Hey, ease off. I didn't know if you'd heard anything else from Peter.
How's everyone's favorite sociopath taking the news? He thinking of trying
to take your mojo back?" It's a disturbing possibility, but still one made
more likely by the presence of an alpha pack, and fear is making Stiles
more mouthy by proxy.
